The First Days

Hello everyone! So with the first two days of my F&M Adventure well underway, I thought I would give a nice update on what's going on.

Classes look like they will be a lot of fun. Precepting for Misty Bastian will be exciting, especially because I am on her side of the class this time. History of the Blues also has a lot of potential to be awesome. Greek will be Greek, and Logic will intense, but not overwhelming. I don't have my Language and Culture seminar (ANT 360) until Monday, so I'm not sure what to expect there yet.

The culture shock never really gets old. There is nothing quite like exiting a building and being greeted by the smell of Lancaster (you know what I mean), and F&M is its own little island within the sea of Pennsylvania. There is a curious custom here, where many students gather on Tuesday mornings and partake in baked dough circles topped with various milk-based spreads mixed with fruits or spices. It is most delicious concoction which I will attempt to bring back when my friends return.

Alas, the jet lag (a.k.a having a girlfriend in a different timezone) is getting to me and I need a short nap. Until next time!
